Andy Jones
Andy has had a fly rod in his hand and a passion for fishing since the age of 3 years old. He grew up with a trout stream on his family’s 160-acre homestead in the Black Hills of South Dakota where his grandfather first taught him how to fly fish. Andy holds a degree in Biology and Masters in Education, which turns his ability to help you catch fish into a science. Fishing has taken him everywhere from commercial salmon fishing in Alaska, to the jungles of Bolivia, to the marshes of south Louisiana where he has fished the last 8 years. Andy’s methodical approach to fishing and the marsh ecosystem has given him a deep understanding of the Mississippi river Delta and its abundance of Bull Redfish. His patience and persistence are keys to putting clients on fish.
Sarah Giles
Sarah Giles is a native of Mandeville, Louisiana and has been fishing the marshes of south Louisiana since she was 3. She and her father would fish out a tandem kayak, him fly fishing from the back seat and her fishing from the front. After graduating from The University of North Carolina with a degree in ecology, Sarah moved back to Louisiana to work as a wetland biologist. She bought a tiny $150 kayak and began fly fishing from it every day she could, launching off the side of the road, under a bridge, or wherever the marsh looked productive. In addition to guiding, Sarah is a biologist at an environmental consulting firm and is a certified Wildland Firefighter with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. She is passionate about Louisiana coastal restoration and serves on the Board of Directors for the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana. Her favorite thing about the marsh is how it is always changing, providing new opportunities and challenges for anglers.
